Aguacates Mexican Food #2 is a straightforward Mexican restaurant that feels like an extension of the neighborhood's daily rhythm here on Lakeshore Drive. The setting is casual and welcoming, with some outdoor seating that takes advantage of the lake views—perfect for a relaxed weekend lunch or an early dinner while watching the light shift over the water.

The focus here clearly leans into classic Mexican comfort food with generous portions and hearty flavors. If you’re drawn to the richer side of Mexican fare, the Milanese Torta and Carne Asada Fries stand out as substantial, crowd-pleasing dishes that match well with a casual, no-fuss dining experience. Breakfast burritos are another highlight, embodying the local love for filling, all-day eats that pair eggs, cheese, and different meats with potatoes or fries inside a flour tortilla—a practical choice for those starting the day or grabbing a late morning bite.

Visitors often comment on the attentive, steady service, with staff who are patient and happy to explain the menu or accommodate special requests. This attitude supports a laid-back vibe where the food is approachable and the focus is on feeding families, friends, and anyone passing through looking for satisfying Mexican plates without pretense.

The price point feels reasonable for the portion sizes, and the combination meals (like the rolled tacos combos) come with drink options, which blends well with everyday dining rather than a special occasion. Locals seem to appreciate this as a spot where you can grab both familiar favorites—like carne asada tacos and enchiladas—and daily standards without breaking the bank.

Because of its lakeside location, the best time to visit might be early evening or weekends when you can sit outside and enjoy the view. Families, groups of friends, and anyone craving authentic Mexican food in a straightforward setting will find Aguacates Mexican Food #2 easy to settle into for a relaxed, unhurried meal.

The most welcoming and sweetest people ever . I bought the rolled tacos combo with a medium drink and it was under $20 !! I went earlier this week to another restaurant on Main Street and they charged me almost the same price with one less taco in my food and no drink at all !! I wish them the best and that they won’t have to close like the previous restaurants before them.

Authentic Mexican food. This place is a must-try. I've eaten here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I always go back for more. I've lost count of how many times I've eaten here. The outdoor seating offers beautiful views of the lake, making it a perfect spot to relax. They’re also accommodating with off-menu requests, which adds a personal touch to the dining experience. The salsa is exceptional, and having a drive-thru option is great for late-night cravings. I highly recommend giving this place a chance!

The guy working was very patient, kind and informative! The burritos reminded me of my favorite taco shops back home in San Diego. Big full of meat and delicious goodness! The cabeza tacos weren’t the best I’ve had but definitely worth the try and made me want to try all their different tacos! Horchata was on point too! My daughter got the California burrito and it was huge! Rolled tacos were so yummy and my 6 year old finished my last two since I was stuffed! Many different salsas too which were splendid as well! Definitely will be back to try more foods and if not it will definitely be my go to burrito spot!

Food was amazing! went around noon earlier today with my fiancée, was greeted by nice staff who happily answered any questions we had. A wide menu to choose from, albeit alittle pricey, you definitely get a hefty amount of food for what you pay. Everything had that fresh home made flavor, and coming from a hispanic family that says alot! Will definitely be returning as the gorgeous view of the lake from their outside seating was the icing on the cake of our whole experience!
